The Great Pyramid of Giza still remains a mystery today about the one question everybody has thought about. "How was The Great Pyramid of Giza built". We also still wonder about the death of a well known Pharaoh named King Tut . These might still remain a mystery but, there are many other discoveries that we have been able to solve. This website explains the extraordinary facts of Ancient Egypt. 21st people still study this civilization because there are so many wonders about these gigantic pyramids. Old Kingdom,
In 2700 B.C.E, this kingdom had true bravery. The Old Kingdom had very strong central governments which helped them achieve more. They were able to build the first pyramids that we still have today. Today, we call the period of the the “Age of Pyramids”. The Pharaoh that created these pyramids was Pharaoh Khufu.
There were many different descriptions that they say about Pharaoh Khufu. Pharaoh ruled the Kingdom from 2551 to 2528 B.C.E. Today, King Khufu is usually known for his magnificent creation of the pyramid. But, in some books, they say that he was a very cruel, he was a harsh leader that isn’t afraid to strike back. Other books say that he was strict and powerful but, very nice and a responsible leader. He must have been a great leader since his ancient buildings he created still live on today.
Pharaoh Khufu kept a very strict control on the food supply that the community had. He would store extra grain and he would oversee the harvest. He also took care of the government officials and the laws which helped his community. Although, he did declare himself as a god which many of these type of leaders have done. His pyramids have tombs built for families. Khufu was the one who created the Great Pyramid of Giza! Which this became one of the biggest wonders of the world.
This pyramid was made of over than 2 million stone blocks. These blocks fit perfectly inside. The tunnels inside are filled with burial chambers. The mystery about this extraordinary pyramid, is how did they even how did they create it? There was no technology where you could move these blocks.

The middle kingdom, The founder of the middle kingdom is Amenhotep II was considered the founder. Amenhotep II was part of the Dynasty XI, Which ruled upper Egypt from the city of Thebes. He defeated the last of the rulers of the Dynasty X, who ruled lower Egypt, and re-unified all of Egypt. The middle kingdom began when Nepenthe Amenhotep II reunited Upper and Lower Egypt, setting the stage for a second great flowering of Egyptian culture.
Thebes came into prominence for the first time, serving as capital and artistic center during Dynasty 11. The outstanding monument of this dynasty was Amenhotep's mortuary complex, loosely modeled on the funerary monuments of his Thebes ancestors. Built on a grand scale against the spectacular sheer cliffs of western Thebes, Amenhotep complex centered on a terraced temple with pillared porticoes.
The masterful design, representing a perfect union of architecture and landscape unique for its time, included painted reliefs of ceremonial scenes and hieroglyphic texts.

Pharaoh Hatsheput was Egypt’s first female pharaoh. The pharaoh Hatsheput ruled from about 1473 to 1458 B.C.E . Under her rule, Egyptian art and architecture flourished. She was also known for encouraging trade. One of Hatsheput's greatest accomplishments was simply gaining power. Never before Egypt had been ruled by a woman. At first she shared power with her male relatives. However, she soon took over as sole ruler.
